200 international experts participated in the Conference which addressed critical issues related to lignocellulosic ethanol structured around pretreatment, enzymes and yeasts, large scale demonstration plants, economics, environmental issues, and ethanol related biorefineries.
 
The Conference highlighted results and progress towards market deployment, and preference was given to issues around this and not to research related subjects.
