With DONG Energy's Inbicon biomass conversion technology in focus, Patriot Renewable Fuels, producer of 130 million gallons of ethanol per year, are looking to expand their portfolio.
The first stage is to create a custom project definition, which will provide an overall analysis of both the technical and economic factors for co-locating an Inbicon Biomass Refinery on the site of Patriot’s 130 million gallon per year grain-ethanol plant in Annawan, Illinois. The analysis will be carried forth by Leifmark, Inbicon’s agent in the USA.
Gene Griffith, Co-Founder & President of Patriot Renewable Fuels, LLC, said: “Leifmark’s analysis will give us a clear picture of the overall technical and economic factors. Their study will provide a sound basis for deciding whether Patriot should go ahead with the engineering phase of the project.”
Henrik Maimann, CEO of Inbicon and Vice President at DONG Energy said: “We have through the past years had a continues presence in the United States, and I am very pleased with the prospering outlook for the second generation bioethanol technology. This is truly a step in the right direction and I look forward to a strong future collaboration with Patriot Renewable Fuels.”
