The Inbicon Biomass Refinery™

Cleaner, renewable, sustainable energy made from agriculture’s leftovers—that’s long been the promise of cellulosic ethanol. But the challenge is making fuel ethanol make financial sense to investors and producers. And bringing ethanol to market at a low enough cost to make it make sense to the world’s retailers and consumers.

Here’s how Inbicon technological breakthroughs can help deliver on the promise of ethanol made from biomass. And by integrating our patented processes with existing technologies, here’s how we’re creating in a new path: the Inbicon Biomass Refinery. A new way of thinking about renewable energy. A fossil-fuel-free way to produce it with a bio-energy payback. And a much-needed lift to a world economy thirsty for alcohol-rich fuel.

  • 100kg/h pilot plant

Our 100 kg/h facility has been operated and modified since 2003. Here the biomass is treated at near-industrial conditions, while operational and process parameters can be varied and tested within a short time frame.

  • 25ton/day

In 2005 we inaugurated a 25 t/d facility for hydrothermal pre-treatment of wheat straw. This was done as part of the European R&D project ”Co-production Biofuels”. The 25 t/d unit is used by our mechanical development team to test new designs and equipment
