Core Technology
The core technology of Inbicon is a three-stage process: mechanical, hydrothermal, and enzymatic treatment of biomass. It releases the building blocks of the plant material - cellulose, hemicellulose, and lignin - and converts them to useful purposes.
Because Inbicon’s pretreatment yields a much higher concentration of sugar in the liquid going to fermentation, the resulting “beer” or alcohol concentration is at least double the normal percentage in cellulosic ethanol processing. So each batch has a lot less water and a lot more ethanol, further increasing yield and efficiency. This, of course, will translate to a lower-cost renewable fuel for the consumer.
