Test site facilities

Our test site is located next to the headquarters of DONG Energy in Skærbæk, Denmark. In 2006 we moved the pilot plant and research equipment from the original site to an abandoned turbine/generator hall in a power plant - Skærbækværket. At the site we have two stories, full overhead crane coverage, access to steam, hot water, cooling water, compressed air power, etc.

In the turbine/generator hall we have two hydrothermal pretreatment reactors, a number of liquefaction reactors in sizes from 0.4 to 11 m3, and a destillation tower with stripper and rectifier.

Connected to the turbine/generator hall is a laboratory facility, and by coincidence, the functions of this laboratory were moved to another power plant when we moved in. Now the lab is fully equipped with liquefaction reactors, fermentors and analytical equipment - all optimised for rapid process development.

Its fair to say that we have an excellent site to explore and develop our technology.
