2nd generation biofuel for cars of the future
The Danish National Advanced Technology Foundation funds the project where DONG Energy focuses on the usability of distillation and liquid fractions for animal feed. Furthermore, DONG Energy is involved in a work package which compares the pre-treatments of IBUS and BioGasol containing oxidation and steam explosion, respectively.
The comparison will be made on wheat straw and corn stover. The project also includes introductory tests with corn silage.
The total budget for the entire project is EUR 5.6 million, and the project runs from 2007 to 2009.
