Lowering water use
As we cook our feedstock with steam under high pressure, we’re using far less water and far more dry matter (30% to 40%) than we think our competitors are using. This creates savings that ripple throughout the plant. Using less water lets you use smaller equipment, smaller diameter piping, smaller valves, and less energy for heating water because there’s less water to heat. You also reduce or eliminate wastewater along with its handling systems and treatment. So you save both capital and operating costs.
