DONG Energy coordinates a project, which is going to contribute to developing the future energy system. The project will comprise liquefaction of biomass, including household waste which will be tested in different European gasifiers. In the gasifiers, the biomass is converted to a synthetic gas, which can either be used in a gas turbine for production of power and heat or in a catalyst for production of liquid fuel. The change between the two productions can be done very quickly and thus you achieve a desirable regulation in the power system.
